Canna Cabana Accessibility Plan (2024-2029)

Review Cycle: This plan will be subject to review and updates before February 2029 to ensure continuous improvement in accessibility.

Our Commitment: High Tide Inc is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario’s accessibility laws.

Accessible Environment: We ensure that all physical spaces of Canna Cabana, including retail stores, are designed and maintained to be accessible to individuals with disabilities. This includes barrier-free access and layouts that facilitate easy navigation for everyone.

Emergency Preparedness: Recognizing the importance of safety for all, we have tailored emergency response plans for employees with disabilities. Additionally, we provide accessible information regarding emergency procedures to all customers and employees upon request.

Building Design: Our store designs and any future modifications adhere strictly to the Accessibility Standards for the Design of Public Spaces, ensuring an inclusive shopping and work experience.

Service Disruptions: In the event of service disruptions affecting accessible areas, timely public notifications and alternative arrangements will be provided.

Training and Awareness: Comprehensive training on the Integrated Accessibility Standards and relevant aspects of the Human Rights Code is mandatory for all staff. This training emphasizes our commitment to respect and inclusivity. We maintain records of completed staff training, ensuring ongoing awareness and competence in accessibility matters.

Digital Accessibility: All Canna Cabana websites and affiliated digital platforms comply with WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards. We use a website accessibility program called Audioeye to offer an inclusive online experience for all customers.

Feedback and Communication: We value customer feedback as it plays a crucial role in our journey towards enhanced accessibility. Feedback can be provided through the Audioeye program, email, or phone, with contact details available on our website https://cannacabana.com/pages/contact. We ensure that all publicly available information is accessible and provided upon request in compliance with AODA.

Future Directions: We plan to continuously monitor our practices and policies to align with evolving accessibility standards. This includes exploring new technologies and methods to enhance the accessibility of our services and environments.
